Aircel strengthens its retail and network footprint in Mumbai
- Capacity added across all 2G sites to expand Aircel’s 2G network in the city

Mumbai, March 3, 2015: In a step to further strengthen its commitment to customers in Mumbai, Aircel, one of India’s innovative & leading telecom service provider, aims to expand its retail and network presence in the city. Aircel will significantly add new sites & capacity to its existing 2G network to provide seamless connectivity across Mumbai for its customers to be connected 24*7 with family and friends across the country. The company will also set up 200 Xpress stores by end 2015 to provide convenience and service for all its customers. The Xpress stores are based on the FOFO (Franchisee Owned Franchisee Operated) model and will exclusively provide Aircel’s products and services, new connections, recharges and top-ups, resolution of customer queries, assistance and support to all new and existing Aircel customers.
Additionally, to bring joy to our customer lives this festive season of Holi, Aircel announced the launch of yet another two innovative products: Unlimited Facebook & Whatsapp @ Re 1/day and Unlimited Aircel to Aircel Local, STD and Roaming outgoing calls at just 10p/min.
For the Unlimited Facebook & Whatsapp pack @ Re 1/day, customers have an option to subscribe for either 1 day or 30 days by simply dialing the USSD code *121*28#.
The 10p revolutionary pack will offer the lowest-ever unlimited Aircel to Aircel local, Roaming and STD outgoing calls at just 10p/min for new customers @ Rs. 94 for 60 days and existing customers for @ Rs 96 for 30 days. With this, Aircel now offers all three services unlimited - Local, STD and Roaming – at 10 paise per minute.
